Harmony Day 2020 - Gratitude
The 13th celebration of Harmony Day in Central Okanagan Public Schools is Wednesday, February 19, 2020.
Our school district theme this year is "Gratitude" and we encourage everyone in our community to reflect on the quality of being thankful and a readiness to show appreciation and return kindness. Being grateful for our unique identities allows us to fully live our lives by our own beliefs, values, and purpose.
Our Harmony Day t-shirt features a wonderful piece of Indigenous artwork created by Grade 12 KSS student Teigan Johnston. Her artwork represents the Four Food Chiefs: Skimxist (Bear); Ntytikxw (Salmon); Speetlum (Bitterroot); and Seeya (Saskatoon).
"The greatest glory in living lies not in never falling, but in rising every time we fall."
